Applicant Requirements

The scholarships are awarded to undergraduate Civil Engineering students. The minimum criteria is a GPA of 2.75 and enrollment in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program.

A 2000 word essay on a current Civil Engineering issue, participation in technical, honorary and professional societies such as, but not limited to, Tau Beta Pi, Chi Epsilon, Phi Beta Kappa, ASCE and NSBE. Other campus activities may also be considered.

Applications accepted annually from January 1 to March 31.

Foundation History

The Jackson-Davis Foundation Civil Engineering Incentive Scholarship was established in 2002.

The Foundation was established to award scholarships in honor of my grandparents:

Gladys Davis Jackson who attended Spelman College and Birdel F. Jackson, Sr. who attended Rust and Knoxville Colleges.
